| A famous sport in oversea, any cockers into water sport, you may consider pick up this sport as it is very new in Malaysia. We don't have any proper dock yet. Standard size for the dock shall rest no more or less than 24 inches off the water surface. The dock should have 40 ft long by 8 ft wide, with rubber mat or similar non slip surface when wet. Official running time, you are allow to run the dog within 90 seconds, dog can place anywhere on the dock but not more than 40ft long. Even the time limit expires but dog already in motion is allow to finish the jump and the jump will count. All chase object used should be floated. The longer the jump the higher the score, for standard scoring and you can visit :- http://www.dockdogs.comand here is my baby, finally he can walk... you know how happy a new mom is... | |

finally russell can jump without braking edi..... actually his brake pad rosak... anyway, I am extremely happy he can finally do it, a friend send me a picture of cocker in US he can jump over 10ft that is very incredible for their size. also a very good encouragement for us. The furtherst I hv seen he can jump only around 4ft, we decided to clean the run path and put the non slip properly hopefully this will help him improve further.. I am still thinking the best way to put on the measurement besides... oooohh.. we re getting mad..

| Hi there,
Just wondering....how do u guys ensure that water does not seep into our cocker ears? I've been battling over ear mites problem despite not letting my doggettes play with water, and yet they are attacked by those dreaded mites.
Now that you're talking abt dock dogs, so how abt ear mites prevention when they go into the water???
Appreciate some advice. Nina

| Hi Nina, yea, cocker ears is a big headace. for me, each times after playing water must clean with ear cleaning solution, wipe properly with cottom wool, make sure it is not wet. Actually it is not advise to clean the ears too often, just like human, bcoz that will hurt their ears, I got this advise from the vet. You can smell their ears after 3-4 days if they have mellasap must quickly go for vet. It shouldn't be too smelly. Besides, I think just keep them happy they will have less problems, because their antibody will stronger. haha | |
