Canine X'mas Games (Not Confirmed by MKA yet):
Fido Says - This game is exactly like Simon Says except that it's your dog that's doing all the hard work. Let your dog prove how clever she or he is by sitting when you say "sit", lying down when you say "down" or stand when you say "stand", etc. However, no force & touching is allowed for this game except giving out extra commands. The last dog to respond or fails to do a command given by the owner will be eliminated. Simple but yet not so simple...

The "Leave It" Game - This game is very interesting especially to those dogs that love chicken sausages! Mmmm...I smell hot dogs. For this game, dogs are to be in down position & a sausage will be placed preferably one foot in front of each dog. Handlers can either say to their dogs "Stay" or 'Leave It" & must walk ten feet away, facing their dogs. Handlers are allowed to give extra commands but if a dog breaks from its position & eat the sausage in front of it or/and another dog's sausage, it will be eliminated. As the number of dogs go down, the sausages will be placed inch by inch closer. Do you think your dog can resist it?

The Trickiest Dog - Show us what your dogs can do! Each dog will have to perform at least 3 to 4 different types of tricks. The best will be the winner! Nothing complicating...

Christmas Fashion Fiasco - Hey come on guys, it's Christmas! Show us your Christmas spirit! Dress your dogs up with some cool X'mas costumes! The most creatively dressed dog will be the winner!

The Speediest Dog - This is actually a recall game. I know some of you out there love this common game so that is why I put this game in. I'm sure you all know what to do for this game...? All you gota do is call your dog & the fastest to reach back to the owner will be the winner!

Fastest Fetch (IN THE WATER) - We're still thinking about this because we don't want any injuries happening to the dogs during this game. Ready to get wet & wild? Handlers will have to throw their dog's favourite ball or toy into the pool of water about 20 feet in front of them & their dogs must quickly fetch their toy & run back to their owners when called. Each dog will be timed. The fastest will take home the 1st prize!

The Longest Jumper - For the torpedo dogs, this is a game for you! Wana stretch out those long legs a little & show us what you got? All your dogs have to do is jump over low hurdles which will be stretched after few rounds. The longer the jump, the better it is! That's what we wana see...

Musical Chairs - I'm sure you've played this game before with your kiddo friends when you were just a little kid? Well this time, your buddy dogs will be joining you guys in this game too! This game is played with a group of people & their dogs. The game starts with any number of players and a number of chairs one fewer than the number of players; the chairs are arranged in a circle. While the music is playing, the players outside the circle walk in unison around the chairs. When the music shuts off, handlers are to sit/down their dogs outside the circle before grabbing a chair. The player who is left out without a chair will be eliminated. Are you as agile as your dog?

Spin da' Dog - Are your dogs good spinners? If so, let us put them to the ultimate test! This game is done in a group. You as a handler must spin your dog as long as possible without any breaks in between. Whether your dogs are trained to spin or not, handlers may use toys/treat to make them spin around. Happy spinning!

Miss/Mister Mongrel 2006 - For those who have non-pedigree dogs which is commonly known as Mongrel dogs, this competition is especially for your buddy dog! Many of you out there say that your mongrel dogs can't do number of activities & games provided. Well, if so...enter your dogs in this beauty competition. There's nothing for you to do in this game exactly but just do a catwalk...We're looking for the Best Looking Mongrel Dog Of The Year! This game is strictly for the non-pedigrees not for the mixed breeds.

The Longest Stay - This is another common game but I still think it's great for the very obedient dogs. All your dogs have to do is to just sit or down-stay for 3 minutes, that is all they have to do! Oh no-no-no, it's not as simple as you think...There's no limited time for this game. Balls, other toys, treats & wierd stuffs will be thrown in front & across your dogs. Could there possibly be something that your dog likes? Well, better be prepaired that your dog might go for it...Practice makes it Perfect!

The Best Canine Clones - Instead of the typical 'Dog & Owner Look-Alike' and 'Best Canine Twins Look-Alike', this game is little bit unique & different from those two. Ten different dog breeds will be chosen by the stewards from the audience. The host will call out for another ten same breeds from the audience that should atleast look almost exactly the same as the ones that have already been chosen. Example, if one of the Shih Tzu's from the audience look almost exactly the same as the other Shih Tzu that has been chosen earlier on by the steward; meaning like the features, size & colour of the fur, they both will win 1st prize!

Everybody's welcome even to those who are not MKA members. Food will be provided on that day & for the opening.
